from Joseph Kang, Korea Town BIA Chairman
Dear
Friends and Sponsors,
The
20th anniversary of the "Korean DANO Spring Festival"
will take place on June 1st and 2nd, 2012 at Christie Pits
Park (750 Bloor St. West) in Toronto and will feature Korean
food, traditional dance and music, Korean Pop, arts &
crafts, Taekwondo demonstrations, sports competitions, veterans'
exhibitions, business booths and continuous entertainment
along with a beer garden (Free Admission).
The
Korea Town BIA, ALL TV and The Koreatimes Daily
have successfully co-organized the Festival for 20 years.
With the generous support of major corporations, local businesses,
non-profit organizations, performers and dedicated volunteers,
this festival has become the largest Korean community event
in Canada and is a favorite annual family festival in Toronto
attracting over 200,000 spectators since 1992.
"DANO",
a major traditional Korean holiday, is designated by UNESCO
as one of the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage
of Humanity. As a festival sponsor, your company will have
a great opportunity to reach over 20,000 festival spectators
and over 250,000 Korean-Canadians indirectly. Major festival
sponsors will be invited to attend the official opening ceremony
with all levels of government officials.
Your
sponsorship and generous donation will enable us to showcase
various artistic
presentations and celebrate the rich cultural heritage which
has a positive impact
on the community. By
supporting our festival, you will be an integral part of this
Korean-Canadian cultural event. Your help and support is greatly
appreciated.
Thank
you very much and we value your partnership.
